Text size

Laura Leigh Braley was born on February 21, 1935 to Lloyd and Alfretta "Allie" (Bowman) Coffman in Shattuck, Oklahoma. She attended Ivanhoe Country School and Shattuck High School. She lived in Western Oklahoma most of her life and had a deep respect for this place she called home.
Laura married her husband William "Bill" Braley in December 28, 1951. Bill and Laura lived throughout the Midwest. The couple was blessed with two "chosen" children, DawnElla and Anthony "Tony."
Laura was an excellent homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, yardwork, and taking care of "the babies." Laura was known for baking her famous cinnamon rolls and bierox. Her greatest gift was her love for her family.
Her husband Bill preceded Laura in death. Also, proceeding her in death were her parents Lloyd and Allie Coffman, her brother Lloyd Coffman Jr., and sisters Neoma Matthews and Retta Barnes.
Left to remember this strong and loving woman is her daughter DawnElla Marie Rust and husband Raymond "Rusty" of Nacogdoches, Texas; son Anthony William Braley of Gage, Oklahoma; sisters Markie Kinney and Betty Bell; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and a host of loyal and loving friends. She was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved all "her" babies.
Graveside services were held Thursday December 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Shattuck Memorial Cemetery, Shattuck, Oklahoma. Condolences may be made to the family at shawfuneralhome.net. Shaw Funeral Home Shattuck
