Larry Rice, 56 year old Woodward resident, died Sunday, March 12, 2017 in Enid. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Woodward Church of Christ with Ray Don Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Larry Lee Rice was born on September 22, 1960 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Charles Clayton and Belva Joyce (Story) Rice. He was raised in Woodward and attended Woodward Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1979. Larry worked for the family business, Rice Weed Control until his retirement due to ill health. He was united in marriage to Debra Joanne Boggs on May 4, 1988 in Topeka, Kansas. They made their home in Woodward.
He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing and coaching baseball. Most of all he loved being with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Debbie Rice of the home; daughter, Ashley Soliday and husband Jeremy of Woodward; son, Chris Striplin and fiancee Tonya of Shawnee; his father Charles Rice of Woodward; four grandchildren: Callie and Westen Striplin, Mackensie and Marley Soliday; numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Belva Rice on July 10, 2013.
