Keela Dawn Edwards, 18 year old Woodward resident, died Friday, January 29, 2016 as a result of a tragic automobile accident. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the First Assembly of God Church with the Reverend Jason Dirks officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home. Keela Dawn Edwards was born on July 28, 1997 in Woodward, Oklahoma to her proud parents, Roger Lewis and April Dawn (Redden) Edwards. Keela grew up in Woodward and attended Woodward schools. She had many friends and family who she enjoyed hanging out with. Keela loved listening to music, being on her cell phone, playing soccer, doing gymnastics, playing zombies with Alyssa, spending time with her twin cousins, and hanging out with her best friend Skylar Chawn Martin. She was a beautiful girl inside and out who was a caring and sweet soul, always there for her friends and family. Keela’s pride and joy was her new baby daughter Lyric Leslie. Keela loved being a mother and she was very devoted to her new daughter. She is survived by her precious daughter, Lyric Leslie Edwards-Whitehead of the home; parents, April Dawn Redden of the home; Roger Edwards and wife Sacia; brother, Kaad Edwards, a special brother Derek Harrington; two little brothers Conner and Garin; one little sister Addison all of Woodward; maternal grandparents, Bruce and Sheri Redden; paternal grandparents, Roger and Paula Edwards, both of Woodward; aunt Misty Redden and cousin Kelby, aunt Shelby and uncle Jayme Spillman; cousins, Keegan and Kelton, uncle Bruce Redden and wife Callie, Jason Kornele, Renee Spillman and Kurt, Lana Farmer and husband Billy, Stacy Carson and husband Dallas, Lisa Beavers and husband Larry, Marla Beavers and husband Hank, Carey Edwards, a very dear best friend Skylar Martin; a special friend and father to Lyric Leslie Edwards-Whitehead, Justin Whitehead of Woodward; along with many other cousins, friends, and family. Keela was preceded in death by cousin, J.D. Carson, great-grandparents, Bill and Jean Yeager, special grandparents, Jim and Melba Spillman, and best friend Alyssa Ramirez. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lyric Leslie Edwards-Whitehead Educational Fund with the funeral home accepting the contributions on behalf of the family.
