Joyce Biffle, 76 year old Woodward resident died Saturday June 4, 2016 in Woodward. A grave side funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Joyce Marie Biffle was born on February 19, 1940 the daughter of Odie and Bertie Lorene (Wheeler) Qualls in Duncan, Oklahoma. Joyce was reared in Duncan and attended Duncan schools. Joyce was united in marriage to Charles Edwin Biffle on March 9, 1957 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Joyce and Charles made their home in China Lake, California. They also lived in Liberal, Kansas before settling in Woodward. Besides being a full time mother, Joyce worked at Trego's Western Wear, Diane's Home Place and Persimmon Creek.
Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family, decorating, and watching her favorite show Law and Order.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Elwanda Davis, and Brenda McNutt; grandson, Christopher McCurdy; son-in-law, Doug Thompson; great-grandson, Damron Price.
Joyce is survived by two daughters, Pam Thompson of Buffalo; and Robin Biffle of Woodward; six grandchildren, Jeff and Donna Thomas; Scott and Danni Biffle; Michelle and Jerry Smith; Nicole and Jeff Soliday; Stephanie Tellaz; and Cindy Thompson; eleven great-grandchildren, Colton Hames; Jaxon Schrick; Kylah Hill; Brycen Soliday; Landyn and Kale Bailey; Sammantha Tellaz; Lilly Smith; Dusty and Dallas Price; two sisters, Shirley Cox and husband Johnny; and Donna Sinder all of Duncan; one brother, Hershel Qualls and wife Bertha of Duncan; other family and many friends.
