Joy Brewer, 59 year old Waynoka resident, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 surrounded by her family at her home in Waynoka. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Cherokee Municipal Cemetery in Cherokee, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Joy Ann (Meixner) Brewer was born on February 19, 1957 in Los Alamos, New Mexico to Billy Dean and JoAnn (Dearmond) Meixner. Joy spent the majority of her childhood and teens in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The family moved to Cherokee and Joy graduated from Cherokee High School. She attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and received her Associates Degree in Accounting.

She was united in marriage to Randall Brewer in Woodward, Oklahoma. They made their home in Attica, Kansas and later Waynoka, Oklahoma. Joy worked for more than 30 years in the automotive industry as the Office Accounting Manager.

Joy enjoyed crocheting, reading, and traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her husband.

She is survived by her husband Randall L. Brewer of the home; children, Charise Jones and husband Jeremiah, Sean C. Martin and wife Tina, Estranged son and wife of Woodward; step-children, Eric and Vanessa Brewer, Scott and Delia Harrel, Steve and Kristina Meyers, Adrian and Mandy Harrel; 16 grandchildren, Kaiya Jones, Autumn Jones, Kaylee Martin, Riley Martin, Connor Martin, Gavin Martin, Stryker Martin, Khloe Martin, Paiton Brewer, Kaitlyn and Christopher Meyers, Zane Harrel, Gracee Harrel, Addison Harrel, Bragg Harrel, Hadley Harrel; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents, Vera and Earl Dearmond.
