Jordan Garrett Wells, 21 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Oklahoma City surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 9, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church of Woodward with Reverend Jeff Ralston officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Jordan Garrett Wells was born on August 1, 1996 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Gerry Don Wells and Marcy Ranay Wells. Jordan attended school in Fargo and graduated from Fargo High School in 2015. He attended High Plains Technology and studied carpentry. Jordan enjoyed being with his friends and family. He liked to fish and play golf, but his favorite thing was cooking and being with his little sister Abby, who he loved dearly.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fargo. Jordan was diagnosed with Sarcoma Cancer on April 24, 2015. He fought his cancer like the warrior he was and never complained to anybody about anything.
He is survived by his parents, Marcy Johnson and husband Mike of Woodward, Gerry Don Wells and wife Javon of Higgins, Texas; two sisters: Kendra Young and husband Nick of Byers, Colorado, Abby Johnson of Woodward; step-brothers: William Johnson and wife Melissa of Enid, Jacob Johnson of El Reno, Kurtis Hassler of Higgins, Texas; grandparents: Larry and Marilyn Harris of Woodward, Gerry and Paula Wells of Fargo, great-grandmother, Dorothy Kerfoot of Woodward; step-grandparents: Billy Johnson, James and Ruby Hassler; nieces and nephews: Corbin Johnson, Larken Young, Jemma Young; his girlfriend Chelsee Pond of Woodward; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by Leann Shawn, who was like a second mom to Jordan.
