Eula Mae Farmer was born to Beacher and Edna (Gunter) Hearon on the family farm east of Bradley, Oklahoma on October 16, 1930. She grew up on the farm and attended school in Bradley. At the age of 16, she fell in love and married Willis Farmer on December 21, 1946. To this union three children were born, Melton "Moose", Janis and Debra. Willis and Eula lived in the Bradley area until moving to Oklahoma City and California twice before moving to Mooreland in 1963. After moving to Mooreland, she acquired her GED and in 1968 she and her daughter Janis graduated form Woodward Vocational School of Nursing, becoming an LPN. Eula worked at the Woodward Hospital for several years and then became the Nurse for the WR Grace Company. While working there she went to college at Northwestern at night. She and Willis moved to Ardmore where she worked at the Adventist Hospital. In 1968 she graduated from Murray State College in Tishomingo with a Associate Degree in Nursing. Eula became employed in Ada at the Psychiatric Hospital. She and Willis moved back to Woodward and Eula transferred to Western State Psychiatric Hospital in Ft. Supply and worked there until she retired in 2000. After retirement she attended Real Estate school and became a Realtor. But nursing was her passion and she went back to work at the Shattuck Hospital and Seiling Community Hospital. She also worked for Dr. Porter Leslie as a Nurse in Leedey. After Dr. Leslie passed away she did private duty nursing for Alan Rabe and for Bob Bender until she retired in November of 2015.

There was nothing more important than nursing, her church and her family. She adopted numerous friends of Cody and Shawna as her own. Megan, Alisha, Cody, and Shawna knew her as Dr. Granny.
