Emma "Cordelia" Ayers Moore of Woodward, Oklahoma was born September 16, 1930 in Waldron, Arkansas to Benjamin and Alma (Bland) Ayers and went to her eternal home on October 15, 2016 in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the age of 86, after a brave battle with cancer.
She is survived by: Her husband:Haskell Moore One daughter: Marla Moore Dowdy and her husband Tom of Houston, Texas One daughter in-law: Ida Sparks Moore of Edmond, Oklahoma Three granddaughters:
Cary Moore Cuddeback of Edmond, Oklahoma Lara Dowdy Colorado of Houston, Texas Maria Dowdy Babinat of Houston, Texas
One grandson: Dwight David Dowdy of Houston, Texas Seven great grandchildren: Kyler and Kamden Cuddeback of Edmond, Oklahoma
Isabella and Hayden Colorado of Houston, Texas
Grayson and Paige Babinat of Houston, Texas
Caroline Dowdy of Houston, Texas One sister: Betty Parsons of Turlock, California Five sisters-in-law: Jeri Shuler of Dallas, Texas Ruby Nell Muse of Heavener, Oklahoma Jana Baker of Heavener, Oklahoma Joan Breeding of Poteau, Oklahoma Donna Johnston of Poteau, Oklahoma Many beloved nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Dwight James Moore. Cordelia met the love of her life, Haskell Moore in August, 1946. They were wed on October 2, 1948. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Heavener, Oklahoma with Mr. Denton Mead officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma. Pallbearers: Family Viewing will be from noon until 8:30 p.m., Monday and 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Tuesday.
