Dorothy Jane (Williams) Price was born April 29, 1932 in Hallsville, Texas; she was the daughter of Pleze Ray and Clara Maude (Hickey) Williams. The family lived in the Jefferson County, Texas area until her dad passed away and then the family moved to San Angelo, Texas. She attended San Angelo schools until the 11th grade, but she later received her GED and also took some college classes. She was united in marriage to George Bennett Price on September 1, 1950 in San Angelo, Texas. They made their first home in San Angelo while George was serving the Air Force, before later moving to Woodward.
Dorothy loved the Lord, her family and community. She went on mission trips to South Africa, and for several years to Pagosa Springs, Colorado. She touched and changed many lives with her Sunday School classes and Vacation Bible school. She also loved her Blue Birds. She built many bird houses around Woodward and maintained them. Dorothy loved a good bargain, the Wednesday paper garage sale listings, and shopping at Not Necessarily New. Many knew her from the Cob Web Shop, auctions and garage sales. Everyone was always welcome in her shop to visit, hangout or maybe even buy something.
She is survived by her husband George Price of the home in Woodward; three sons: Jack Price, Bill Price and wife Kathy, Mark Price and wife Velda; one daughter, Susan Stephenson and husband Keith; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one brother, Phillip Mann and wife Brenda of Longview, Texas; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, one sister, two brothers, her step-dad and one great-grandbaby.
