Clydene's Story

ARLINGTON -- Clydene Yvonne Harrell, 80, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015, at her home in Arlington. Service: A family memorial will be held in Northwest Oklahoma on November 27, 2015. Prayers are requested in lieu of flowers/gifts. Clydene was the firstborn to Clyde and Ruth Harrell, on Dec. 16, 1934, in Safford, Ariz. As a young girl, the family moved to Gage in Northwest Oklahoma where Clydene's roots and heart were forever anchored. After graduating from Gage High School she married and was so proud of her two sons, David and Tom Schickedanz. She worked as a secretary/executive assistant for several large companies, including Bell Helicopter and General Electric. Clydene especially loved gardening and weather watching (after surviving two Oklahoma tornadoes). She loved keeping up with her grandchildren and extended family and friends. Clydene is reunited in heaven with her parents and two younger brothers, Max and Mike Harrell, and leaves behind two younger sisters, Marilyn Nickeson (Larry) and Cindy Miller (Larry). Survivors: She is survived by sons, David Schickedanz and wife, Linda, and Tom Schickedanz and wife, DelRae; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
