Bonna Lee Muns Williams, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at St. Anthonys Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Graveside memorial services and burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Elmwood Cemetery with Reverend Paul Calmes officiating and Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Bonna L. Williams was born on May 21, 1928 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Burl and Alma Muns. Bonna graduated from Central State University in Edmond, and went on to become a beloved kindergarten teacher. She was married to Charles M. Williams for 58 years, and they raised three children together. Bonna enjoyed playing the piano, and was known for her knitting hobby. In her spare time, she would knit sweaters for an orphanage in Guatemala, and caps for hospital babies. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Woodward, until moving to Meeker to be near her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Williams; her parents; four brothers, Burl, Herman, Edward and Robert; son-in-law, Tracy Pennington; and daughter-in-law, Marquetta Williams.
Survivors include her son, Charles Chick and Betsy of Denver, North Carolina; daughter, Susan, of Edmond; son, Robert Bob of Shawnee; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; granddaughter Crystal and husband Dan Padzensky of Snoqualmie, Washington and their two daughters, Jordyn and Madysen; grandson Joshua Williams of Telluride, Colorado; granddaughter Robin and husband Brad Fritsch of Buena Vista, Colorado and their two daughters, Emerson and Eira; granddaughter Sarah and husband Steven Greiner of Owasso and their daughter Gracie and son Gage; granddaughters Robbi and Rayli Williams of Russellville, Arkansas.
