Betty Latta, 93 year old resident of Woodward, died Thursday, November 2, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in the Fort Supply United Methodist Church with the Reverend Phil Davis officiating. A private family burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
Betty Jean (Morehart) Latta was born in Woodward County near Fort Supply, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of Frank A. and Gladys (Heaton) Morehart. She was the third child of six children. Betty started school in Fort Supply and later graduated from Fargo High School in 1942. She was united in marriage to Donald G. Latta on July 4, 1942 in the Presbyterian Parsonage in Woodward. To this union, four children were born, Tom, Donna, Susan and Cindy. In 2004, following Donalds death, she moved to Woodward.
Betty was a member of the Fort Supply Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son Tom Latta and wife Linda of Spearman, Texas; three daughters, Donna McKay and husband Larry of Guthrie; Susan Washmon and husband David of Fargo; Cindy Fanning and husband Peter of Ventura, California; ten grandchildren, Chris Hunter and Kerri; Karla Folkner and Charles; Michele Fanning and Tom; Chad Hunter and Kaitlyn; Julie Stedje and Tim; Leslie Meyring and Coy; Rodney Washmon; Tommi Seidenberger and Brent; Elizabeth Fanning; Mitchell Fanning; 22 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and two brothers.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Supply United Methodist Church with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
