Ann Gould Weathers

1941 - 2018

Ann Gould Weathers Ann Gould Weathers, 76 years old, died Saturday, November 10, 2018, surrounded by family.

Ann was born in Oklahoma City in November, 1941. She graduated as Valedictorian from Woodward High School in Woodward, OK. She received her BA degree in French from Oklahoma City University in 1963. She completed her Master of Human Relations degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1993.

In 1961, Ann married her husband of 24 years, Ronal Weathers. She taught French for 4 years at Irving High School in Irving, Texas, while her husband, Ron, attended Perkins School of Theology, SMU. Upon his graduation, they returned to Oklahoma and served the communities of Perkins, Altus, Tulsa, Hobart and Oklahoma City as United Methodist minister and wife.

In 1984, Ann began what would be 23 years of assisting law students with applying for and taking the Oklahoma Bar Exam as the Administrative Assistant for the Oklahoma Board of Bar Examiners. She truly cared for the law students and for their success.

Ann loved to travel. She has been to Europe (3 times), Australia, the Solomon Islands and Japan (2 times). Her interest in travel developed when her Dad was stationed in England in 1952 and the family lived there.

Her caring and serving attitude continued from her teaching years through the years as a Ministers Wife, throughout her work at the Board of Bar Examiners and into her retirement. Volunteering as an ESL tutor was very meaningful to her. Her caring actions were directed to people she knew, complete strangers and animals that crossed her path. She was a living example of Matthew 25:40.

She is survived by her daughters, Julia Trotter and her husband Todd, of Moore, OK; and Barbara Tull and her husband Jay of Weatherford, OK; brother Glen Gould and his wife Jeannie of Rockport, TX; 3 grandchildren: Ethan Trotter and Andrew Trotter of Moore, OK; April Tull of Weatherford, OK; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ellen Gould and brothers, James Gould and Ed Gould.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at 2 pm at First United Methodist Church in Moore, OK. Interment will be Friday, November 16, 2018, in Cheyenne Valley near Fairview, OK at the Lone Star Cemetery.
