Anita Randall, 92 year old Woodward resident died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in Woodward. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 12, 2016 in St. Peter Catholic Church with Reverend Joe Arledge as celebrant. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Anita (Salz) Randall was born on March 31, 1923 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Herman Joseph and Ada Bernice (Sparks) Salz. Anita attended school in Woodward, graduating from Woodward High School with the class of 1941. In the fall of 1941 she enrolled at Oklahoma A&M in Stillwater. While in Stillwater she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, Panhellenic Council, Orange Quill, and the Mortar Board. Anita graduated from college in May of 1945 with her Bachelor of Science Degree. Anita was then accepted at Saint Anthony Hospital School of Medical Technology in Oklahoma City in June of 1945. She completed requirements for certification and became a Registered Medical Technologist, ASCP in June of 1946. Anita was married to Kenneth A. Randall August 1, 1946 in St. Peter Catholic Church, the couple made their home in Stillwater. Marcia Ann, was born February 18, 1948, and Joseph Clinton was born February 25, 1950. The family then moved to Woodward in December of 1950, and welcomed into their family Alicia Kay on July 14, 1951. Anita was employed at the Duer-Fetzer Clinic in Woodward, Woodward Memorial Hospital, the Medical Arts Laboratory in Oklahoma City, retiring in September of 1982 from the Fetzer-Meese Clinic. Anita was member of St. Peter Catholic Church, very devoted to her church and was always willing to work where needed. Anita is survived by her son-in-law, John Ogden of Woodward; cousins, JoAnne Andra of Goddard, Kansas; and Chalene Jones of Abilene, Texas; other family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Alicia Ogden; Marcia Randall; and her son Joseph Randall.
